Doxa Church is committed to helping men and women understand what God has to say about marriage and equip you to carry out his glorious purposes for this important lifelong covenantal relationship. To this end, we want to invite both dating couples and those already engaged to hear some of the Biblical foundations for a marriage that glorifies God in the everyday stuff of life. Please read the details below about what we are making available to help you on your journey down this road toward marriage.
The premarital training process has two modules that are sequential:
 
Module 1: PREMARITAL FOUNDATIONS CLASS
This is the starting line for all dating and engaged couples at Doxa. In the Premarital Foundations Class, we present our core teaching on the biblical basis for a marriage that glorifies God. In order to make this as available and flexible as possible, we are offering this course in a video format so that you may enroll and view this content at your convenience. It is broken down into two sessions:

• Session 1: God's Purpose of Marriage

• Session 2: How God Created Us to Relate to Men and Women

Each session consists of three, thirty minute videos sessions, an outline, and discussion questions for each segment that is designed to help you further flush out the truths you will be learning.

Module 2: PRIVATE PREMARITAL MENTORING
This second module is available to engaged couples who have affirmed they have completed the Premarital Foundations Video Class and are already Covenant Members of Doxa church. Our Private Premarital Mentoring consists of four 2-hour Private Premarital Mentoring Sessions with a mentoring couple that will address the following areas:

• Redeeming Your Marriage

• Personal History and Prepare / Enrich Assessment

• Money and Marriage

• Sexual Intimacy in Marriage

Generally, your private mentoring couple is prepared to lead you through these four sessions over an 8 week period. Please be aware that there are a significant amount of assignments that must be completed before each mentoring session. In order to help you complete these sessions so they don’t interfere with your wedding plans, we ask that you view these assignments ahead of time (link below), and begin your work on them immediately.

REQUIREMENTS FOR BEING MARRIED BY A DOXA ELDER
Here is a link to information for any couple having completed Premarital Mentoring who is requesting a Doxa elder to perform their wedding ceremony. This document will inform you of all the steps that are required before we can consider your request. Please familiarize yourself with its content.

For those who complete these steps, we will forward you an “Wedding Officiant Request Form” that allows you to select the Doxa Elder or Sacerdotal Deacon you desire to perform your ceremony. This is the form where you will give us the details of your wedding date, location, and time, etc., so we can consider your request.

At Doxa Church we marry those who are members of Doxa Church. Our qualifications for membership are:
(a) A personal commitment of faith in Jesus Christ for salvation
(b) baptism by immersion as a testimony of salvation
(c) affirmation of the foundational theology and teaching at Doxa Church
(d) affirmation of membership covenant.
